How Does Dermalogica AGE Smart Work?
AGE Smart works by impacting the main biochemical reactions that manifest the signs of skin aging: the formation of Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS, also known as free radicals), the generation of Matrix Metalloproteinases (MMPs) and the development of Advanced Glycations End-products (AGEs).

Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS)
Reactive Oxygen Species are dangerous forms of oxygen molecules generated by UV rays and pollution. They attack and react with stable molecules within skin cells. This causes non-reversible damage to the cell, cross-links collagen and Elastin (the cause of wrinkles) and lessens skin’s natural ability to repair itself.

To Defend Against ROS:

Directions:
Lather Skin Resurfacing Cleanser in wet hands and apply to dampened face and throat, avoiding the eye area. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Spritz Antioxidant HydraMist over face and neck with eyes closed. Dispense a small amount of MAP-15 Regenerator onto fingertip and pat directly on areas where signs of aging are prominent, such as the eye and mouth areas, until product melts into the skin.
